Day By Day, "A Closer Look"
The Husband and Wife Duo of Darrell and Enora Day also known as Day By Day have spent many years in ministry and have weathered many storms. Darrell is a native of Logan, W.Va. Enora is a native of Charleston, WVA. The two met in November of 1994 and were married in May of 1995. Their 13.5 year ministry has grown tremendously since their union. It is their love for the Lord, as well as, their love for each other that is the driving force behind their music.
On August 20th, 2000, Day By Day was voted as one of the DFW Metro Areas ..Top Ten Christian Artist.. by 91.7 KVTT and Mastermedia Ministries, and recognized by Tom Dooley..s syndicated show ..The Journey... Things seemed to be looking up, however in August of 2001, Day By Day experienced a set back that would change their ministry completely.
In August of 2001, life through this duo a huge curve-ball, forcing the couple into 10 months of homelessness. They stayed with friends and ended up in the Salvation Army Family Shelter in Arlington, TX. While they were in the shelter they auditioned for the opening spot for Yolanda Adams in concert, but instead were given the opportunity to open up for Donnie McClurkin, & Fred Hammond, at the Six Flags Gospelfest in July of 2001. Since then, they have traveled all across the country and had the opportunity to minister with a host of Awesome Gospel Recording Artists such as, Lashun Pace, Darrell & Latonya Blair, Ricky Womack, Kirk Franklin, Kurtis Blow, Dr. Venard Johnson, Tommy Young-West, Barbara Mitchell, The Andrews Brothers, Gaye Arbuckle-Sneed and many others. They have also ministered at Cedric Bailey..s ..Praise In The Park.. 2001-2003, The Dallas Harambe Festival, Kwanzafest, and 2 years in a row at The National Day Of Prayer Breakfast.. at the American Airlines Corporate Center.
Day By Day has also been featured on HEAVEN 97 "HOME GROWN GOSPEL HOUR" with hostess, Carmina Barnette, and a host of local television programs. Whether it is in the church, the streets, homeless shelters, at youth events, conferences, or gospel concerts, Day By Day makes sure to spend time ministering on all fronts. Their debut CD entitled ..Keep On Walkin.. was released to stores and radio on May 10th, 2005 and contains collaborations with guest Dallas Artists: CSR, G Brown, Labron Mason, and an interlude devoted to their Pastor, Apostle Urban Brown of the Life In Christ Family Church in Lancaster, TX.
